Hormones

Hormones play an important role in our body and influence many of our activities. A slight change in the secretion of hormones can bring in a major change in our life.

Small body parts may seem to be useless to us, but many a times, their absence could have made you blind, dumb or deaf. The small things go long way in making our life healthy and normal. Until you read or learn about them, they seem to be useless. One such group is of body hormones. Without them, you cannot imagine to stay alive. They are of utmost importance to the body and play a major role in the development and maintenance of the regular functions of the body. A slight change in their secretion may more or less lead to major changes in our body and eventually in your life.

Did you know that a peanut sized body part, called the pituitary gland controls all the hormonal functions of the body and without it, you are a dead body? It is called as the master gland. Hormones are chemicals that are secreted from one part of the body. They travel through the body and affect only the target organs. A common hormone about which, everyone knows is the insulin whose deficiency can cause diabetes. Another important body hormone is the HGH.

HGH stands for human growth hormone and as the name says, it is a growth hormone and so is essential. It is a key hormone because it controls many life-sustaining activities in our body. It makes you appear young and deals with the energy and vitality of the body. It is responsible for controlling the brain function, enzyme function, cell generation and cell replacement. As we grow up, the body decreases the secretion of HGH and so we grow old.

Artificial HGH is also available in the market for those who want to regain their youthfulness. It is also used to reduce fat. Many men have lost their fat without giving up their personal habits of smoking, drinking and chewing tobacco. The results are a proof to it. However, before you go for any such kind of treatment, it is necessary that you consult your doctor once.
